Apple’s new planning
This has been revealed through Bloomberg report. According to the report, according to people with knowledge of the matter, Apple launched its first MacBook with M3 chips 5 months ago, and now the company is also going to produce its next generation – M4 processor. Apple’s new chip may come in at least three different varieties and Apple may update all its Mac models with it.
Apple’s MacBook sales were at their peak in 2022, but after that there was a 27% decline in MacBook sales in the last financial year ending in September. Apple tried to breathe new life into its MacBook business with M3 chips, but the M3 chips did not offer much improvement compared to Apple’s M2 chips.
Because of this, there was not much improvement in the sales of MacBook. This is the reason that in this difficult time of MacBook business, Apple is planning to work on a new and AI based M4 chipset, which is being talked about being included in all MacBooks.
Apple lagged behind in the matter of AI
Apple has lagged far behind its competitors in terms of AI technology. Companies like Microsoft, Google and Samsung have introduced many products with AI technology in the market, but Apple has not launched any AI based product yet.
However, a few weeks ago, Apple CEO Tim Cook had indicated in one of his interviews that Apple is working on a big plan for AI. He said that in the matter of AI, Apple will come late but will come well. This means that Apple can introduce some surprising AI technology.
Now according to a new report, Apple aims to release updated computers from the end of this year to the beginning of next year. The new iMacs, a low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro, high-end 14-inch, 16-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini – could all be launched with M4 chips. This means that all these MacBooks can be available in the market with AI based chipset. However, the company’s plans may change. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment on the matter.
